1A HONORS: Panthers’ Wadsworth tabbed player of the year
Pahranagat Valley senior Kade Wadsworth was named Player of the Year in Class 1A Southern League baseball.
Wadsworth, a right-hander and third baseman, helped the Panthers (16-10) win their third straight 1A state title Saturday in Reno.
Wadsworth combined with Tyler Higbee on a three-hitter to lead Pahranagat Valley to a 10-0, five-inning win over Virginia City in the winner-take-all finale of the 1A state tournament Saturday at UNR’s Peccole Park.
