Outlook: The Spartans return 10 players, including six starters, from a squad that won the Northwest League title last year.

"We look, as always, to be competitive," Hubel said. "Hopefully with the realignment, we can make a run at one of the top spots in our league.

"We have most of our players from last year back at key positions and on the mound. We are a year older and better for the most part."
