ROUNDUP: White blasts two-run shot to send Gorman past Hamilton

T.J. White’s two-run homer with one out in the bottom of the seventh gave Bishop Gorman’s baseball team a 4-3 victory over Hamilton (Ariz.) at the Big League Dugout Invitational in Phoenix.

Johnny Sewald walked to set up White’s game-winner.

White, who was 2-for-4, also went the distance to get the win. He allowed six hits and struck out five.

Arbor View 4, Legacy 2 — At Arbor View, Zach Quintana and Evan McMahan combined on a three-hitter to lead the Aggies past the Longhorns.

Quintana allowed one earned run on two hits in six innings to get the win. He struck out five.

Tyler LeBaron went 3-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBIs to lead the Aggies’ offense. P.J. Gonzalez added two hits and a run for Arbor View.

LeBaron’s two-run homer in the third gave Arbor View a 4-1 lead.

Bonanza 9, Western 7 — At Western, Jake Zebe’s two-out, two-run double in the top of the seventh inning plated Joe Merino and Adam Merino with the go-ahead runs as the Bengals rallied from a 7-0 deficit to stun the Warriors.

Western took a 7-0 lead in the first inning and still led 7-1 entering the sixth before the Bengals scored six runs to tie the game.

Adam Merino had a three-run double in the sixth for Bonanza. Alec Taft was 2-for-3 with a run for the Bengals.

Josh Yocum went 2-for-3 with a home run, a triple and three RBIs for Western, and teammate Ryan Garbowski was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Cimarron-Memorial 4, Palo Verde 1 — At Palo Verde, Cody Clark had a home run and two RBIs and threw a scoreless seventh to earn a save and lead the Spartans past the Panthers.

Clark’s home run highlighted a three-run first for Cimarron. Kevin Dorantes doubled and drove in a run, and Travis Hendry was 2-for-3 for the Spartans.

Clark struck out two in a hitless seventh to record a save.

Sierra Vista 7, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Blair Goldsack threw 6 1/3 shutout innings to help the Mountain Lions blank the Diamondbacks.

Goldsack allowed five hits and struck out 10. He also went 2-for-4 with a double.

Alex Estrella was 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Scott Tomassetti and Billy Santiwan each went 2-for-4 for Sierra Vista.

Centennial 13, Shadow Ridge 10 — At Centennial, the Bulldogs rallied from a 6-0 deficit to defeat the Mustangs.

Ian Ogurek went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for Centennial. Casey Moses was 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs, and Keith Krueger was 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI for the Bulldogs.

Shadow Ridge’s Michael Wager went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and teammate Logan Hold was 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

Durango 10, Pahrump Valley 4 — At Durango, Matt Grisnik was 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and three RBIs to lead the Trailblazers past the Trojans.

Will Morris went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a double for Durango, which had 13 hits.

Faith Lutheran 22, Cheyenne 3 — At Faith Lutheran, Blake Mathias went 3-for-3 with two triples and four RBIs as the Crusaders topped the Desert Shields in five innings.

Mike Kinkenon was 2-for-2 with a double and four RBIs for Faith Lutheran, which scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first.

Mojave 8, Boulder City 7 — At Boulder City, Carlos Romo led off the second inning with a home run and capped the frame with a grand slam as the Rattlers did all of their scoring in one inning and held off the Eagles.

Romo finished 4-for-4 with five RBIs, and Andrew Ehrensoft went 2-for-3 for Mojave, which took an 8-0 lead into the bottom of the fifth before the Eagles rallied.

Jack LaMarca was 3-for-4 with a double, and Billy Barth added a solo home run for Boulder City.
