Trojans edge Roughriders in baseball
Tyler Greene’s RBI groundout with one out in the bottom of the sixth broke a 2-2 tie and Pahrump Valley held on for a 3-2 baseball win over visiting Roosevelt (Colo.) on Friday.
Josh Mortensen went the distance for the Trojans, scattering five hits and limiting the Roughriders to one earned run. Mortensen struck out five with no walks.
Eduardo Gonzalez went 2-for-3 for Pahrump.
