Top players: G Garin Macfarlane (Jr.), G Anthony Jaramillo (Sr.), C/F Richard Box (Sr.)

Outlook: The Mustangs narrowly missed out on a postseason berth last season and are hoping for better results this year.

Macfarlane (6.2 points, 3.1 assists per game) and Box (2.1 ppg, 1.5 rpg) are among those expected to contribute this season. Jaramillo could be a big addition after missing last year due to injury.

“The Mustangs look to build on the positive results of last season’s 14-10 overall record and qualify for and advance in the playoffs,” Welby said. “Several newcomers will be expected to step up and contribute right away at the varsity level.

“We have little returning varsity experience, but a talented and hard-working group will represent Shadow Ridge on the court.”
