Centennial’s Troy Brown was named the Gatorade Nevada Boys Basketball Player of the Year on Monday.
The 6-foot-7-inch Brown, who has signed to play at Oregon, averaged 22.3 points, 10.5 rebounds and 4.6 assists in leading the Bulldogs to the Class 4A Sunset Region semifinals.
Brown shot 52.9 percent from the field, 33.1 percent on 3-pointers and 80.7 percent from the foul line.
He has been selected to play in the McDonald’s All American Game.
