Clark boys fall victim to hot-shooting Toros
Tommy Kuhse went 7-for-9 on 3-pointers and had 27 points Thursday to help Mountain View (Ariz.) down Clark’s boys basketball team, 64-55 in the VisitMesa.com Basketball Challenge in Mesa, Ariz.
Jayton Brown added 16 points for the Toros, who made 13 3-pointers and expanded a 28-25 halftime lead to 56-36 with 4 minutes, 18 seconds left in the game.
Clark cut the gap to 60-51 with 1:02 to play but couldn’t complete the comeback.
James Bridges made 6 of 8 3-pointers and led the Chargers with 20 points. Keyshaun Webb added 12 points for Clark.
