Gorman’s Muhammad, Findlay Prep’s Bennett chosen for all-star game
Bishop Gorman swingman Shabazz Muhammad and Findlay Prep forward Anthony Bennett were selected Wednesday to play in the Boost Mobile Elite 24 all-star basketball game Aug. 27 in Los Angeles.
Both players will be seniors next season.
The game, which tips off at 4 p.m. at Venice Beach, will be televised on ESPNU.
Muhammad was named the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s state player of the year as a junior after he put up 25.1 points and 7.7 rebounds per game to lead the Gaels to the Sunset Region title.
Bennett was a key figure in the Pilots going 28-4.
