Roundup: Centennial overpowers Palo Verde in overtime

Centennial’s boys basketball team scored 16 points in overtime Wednesday to earn a 74-68 road victory over Palo Verde.

Aaryn Anderson led all scorers with 18 points for the Bulldogs, who were 8-for-12 from the free-throw line in overtime.

Ishon Hardin added 17 points, and Teon Taylor scored 12 for Centennial.

Daniel Bellinger paced Palo Verde with 17 points.

Tieman Allen and Drew Warnick each added 13 points, and Mitchell Olsen scored 11 for the Panthers.

Cimarron-Memorial 67, Arbor View 55 — At Cimarron-Memorial, Brian Washington supplied 14 points, 20 rebounds, seven assists and five blocked shots as the Spartans topped the Aggies.

Karion Harrell led four double-digit scorers with 15 points for Cimarron. Marcus Phillips had 12 points and George Tribble scored 10 for the Spartans.

Comillion Smith had 19 points, and Larry Holmes scored 14 to lead Arbor View, which knocked down nine 3-pointers.

Mojave 76, Pahrump Valley 68 — At Mojave, Chris Jackson notched 15 points and 12 rebounds as the Rattlers rolled past the Trojans.

Tyrice Pender had 17 points, John Harper added 16 points, and Noah Sherrard scored 11 for Mojave.

Antonion Fortin scored 21 points, and Grant Odegard supplied 20 to lead Pahrump, which made 14 3-pointers.

Foothill 89, Silverado 64 — At Foothill, Marvin Coleman scored 15 points to lead 12 scorers as the Falcons soared over the Skyhawks.

Jace Roquemore had 13 points, and teammates Dylan Hushaw and Mike Shaw each added 10 points for Foothill, which used a 37-14 third quarter spurt to take control.

Caden Farley scored 16 points to lead Silverado, which got 13 points from Martell Williams.

Cheyenne 74, Western 53 — At Western, Ke’Shawn Hall scored 15 points to help lead the Desert Shields to victory over the Warriors.

Hahsonie Laushaul had 11 points for Cheyenne, which got nine points from Glen Taylor.

Kizhonie Blunt scored 19 points to pace Western.

Liberty 85, Green Valley 73 — At Green Valley, Julian Strawther scored 24 points as the Patriots beat the Gators.

Cameron Burist added 19 points, and Jordan Holt scored 17 for Liberty, which led 22-7 after one quarter.

Zachary Hammer led Green Valley with 17 points. Antoine Hines had 14 points, Kaden Jackson had 13 points and Tah-Rod Washington scored 11 for the Gators.

Coronado 88, Basic 60 — At Basic, Jaden Hardy had 33 points as the Cougars routed the Wolves.

Tahj Comeaux had 16 points, and Taieem Comeaux scored 11 for Coronado, which led 42-29 at halftime.

Tyrelle Hunt added 10 points for the Cougars.

Basic had four players in double figures, led by Joseph Ramirez with 15 points. Geoff Faries had 12 points, Peter Nelson scored 11 points and Chris Hoskins scored 10 for Basic.

Faith Lutheran 75, Shadow Ridge 56 — At Shadow Ridge, Jaylen Fox scored 21 points to power the Crusaders over the Mustangs.

Brevin Walter and Elijah Kothe each scored 14 for Faith Lutheran.

Jordan Gray had 18 points for Shadow Ridges, and teammate Garin Macfarlane scored 13.

Desert Pines 63, Sunrise Mountain 34 — At Desert Pines, Darnell Washington had 15 points and 10 rebounds to help power the Jaguars to an easy win over the Miners.

Lorenzo Brown scored 12 points, and Darius Mitchell supplied seven points and 10 rebounds for Desert Pines.

Dalvin Brown scored 15 points for Sunrise Mountain.

Somerset-Losee 70, Bever Dam 30 — At Somerset-Losee, Maxwell Lewis had 26 points as the Lions routed the Diamondbacks.

Somerset-Losee made 13 3-pointers.
