ROUNDUP: Foothill’s boys thrive in Desert Heat opener

Evan Roquemore had 14 points, six assists and six rebounds Saturday to lead Foothill’s boys basketball team to a 59-49 win over Dorsey (Calif.) in the opening game of the Desert Heat Tournament in Palm Springs, Calif.

Zac Ginter also scored 14 points, and Greg Cox had 10 for the Falcons.

Sierra Vista 43, Archbishop O’Leary (Canda) 38 — At Anaheim, Calif., Jeanette Jackson scored 13 points, and Sierra Vista hung on after taking a 22-10 halftime lead to beat O’Leary in the Savanna Rebel Classic.

Nicolette Grigsby and Johnie Pride each scored 12 for the Mountain Lions.
