Roundup: Last-second shot lifts Desert Oasis over Bonanza

Felix Reeves made a layup with one second to play to lift Desert Oasis’ boys basketball team to a 77-75 road win over Bonanza on Thursday.

Kimari Burnside had 21 points to pace Desert Oasis, which led 55-47 after three quarters.

Jacob Heese added 19 points, Reeves scored 12 and Nate Van had 11 points for the Diamondbacks.

Kendell Burrell led Bonanza with 22 points. Chase Hafen added 21 points, and Marc Navarro scored 15 for the Bengals.

Boulder City 80, Tech 52 — At Boulder City, Derrick Thomas scored 17 points to lead 12 scorers as the Eagles soared over the Roadrunners.

Carson Balistere had 11 points, and Ethan Speaker added 10 for Boulder City, which led 48-26 at halftime.

Isaiah Villareal and Zail Lewis each scored 11 points to lead Tech.

Sierra Vista 90, Shadow Ridge 62 — At Shadow Ridge, Maka Ellis poured in a game-high 30 points, and the Mountain Lions knocked down 13 3-pointers en route to an easy win over the Mustangs.

David Howard had 20 points, and teammate Mathias Aaiva added 11 for Sierra Vista.

Chris Gerald led Shadow Ridge with 20 points, and Aiden Hurely had 10 for the Mustangs.

Canyon Springs 82, Valley 46 — At Canyon Springs, Kevin Legardy scored 25 points as the Pioneers rolled past the Vikings.

Alexander Spaight added 24 points, and Christopher Ward scored 10 for Canyon Springs, which led 29-10 after one quarter. The Pioneers made 14 3-pointers.

Oscar Burns had 14 points to lead Valley. Bryce Jones added 11 points for the Vikings.

Cheyenne 60, Legacy 50 — At Legacy, Ke’Shawn Hall had 17 points as the Desert Shields beat the Longhorns.

Hahsonie Laushaul added 12 points for Cheyenne, which led 45-21 after three quarters.

Tyrell Nolen led Legacy with 17 points. Amare James added 12 points for the Longhorns.

Las Vegas 66, Rancho 44 — At Las Vegas High, Donovan Joyner scored 25 points as the Wildcats downed the Rams.

Kiaeem Johnson-Gonzaque had 14 points, and Jaylin Headen added 13 points for Las Vegas, which outscored Rancho 40-28 in the second half.

James Brown and Franks DeGourville each scored 13 points to lead the Rams.

Del Sol 67, Moapa Valley 46 — At Overton, Antonio Simpson led a balanced attack with 16 points as the Dragons defeated the Pirates.

Nati Asfaw and Tyrell Hampton each added 13 points, and Keith Seldon scored 12 for Del Sol, which outscored Moapa Valley 19-6 in the third quarter to pull away.

Derek Reese paced the Pirates with 15 points, and teammate Lucas Walker scored 11.

Clark 85, Spring Valley 52 — At Spring Valley, Jalen Hill led five double-figure scorers with 15 points as the Chargers beat the Grizzlies.

James Bridges added 14 points, and Antwon Jackson, Adam Forbes and Ian Alexander each scored 11 for Clark, which led 24-4 after one quarter.

Jahlani Blair led Spring Valley with 13 points, and teammate Keelan Wickersham scored 11.

Findlay Prep 88, Riverdale Baptist (Md.) 63 — At Hagerstown, Maryland, Bol Bol had 25 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots to lead the Pilots to an opening-round win in the Saint James Invitational Tournament.

Kyler Edwards added 16 points, and Reggie Chaney scored 12 for Findlay Prep, which led 46-34 at the half.

Virgin Valley 35, Sky Pointe 29 — At Sky Pointe, Jayden Perkins had 13 points as the Bulldogs held off the Eagles.

Trevonne Swift had 12 points to lead Sky Pointe, which outscored Virgin Valley 15-3 in the fourth quarter.

Innovations International 78, Somerset-Losee 48 — At Innovations International, Justin Evans had 35 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Ambassadors to an easy win over the Lions.

Dareon House notched 10 points and 15 rebounds, and Jose Hernandez added 10 points for Innovations International, which led 25-6 after the first quarter.

Brandon Bolton and Maxwell Lewis each scored 20 points for Somerset-Losee.
