ROUNDUP: Mich’l drives Desert Oasis boys past Clark
Cameron Mich’l scored 40 points Tuesday, including a four-point play late in the fourth quarter, as Desert Oasis’ boys basketball team nipped visiting Clark, 58-55.
Ryan McGriff added 16 points and Travantay Jameson had 12 points for Clark, which got 11 points from Wayne Pittman and 10 points from D’Andre Anderson.
Durango 72, Spring Valley 57 — At Spring Valley, Greg Gentry scored 20 points, and Cameron Stemley had 15 points to help the Trailblazers top the Grizzlies.
Tyler Jones had 16 points, Shannon Nolan scored 15, and Sean Clancey supplied 13 for Spring Valley.
Sierra Vista 96, Pahrump Valley 47 — At Pahrump, Gary Jacobs led a balanced attack with 14 points as the Mountain Lions rolled past the Trojans.
Donovan Williams and Viko Noma’aea each scored 12 points for Sierra Vista. Maiscei Grier added 11 points, and Justice Odabi had 10 points for the Mountain Lions.
James Munger and Bret Kunzi each scored 12 points for the Trojans.
Centennial 93, Shadow Ridge 49 — At Centennial, Aaseem Dixon led five double-digit scorers with 19 points while dishing out seven assists as the Bulldogs routed the Mustangs.
Marcus Allen supplied 13 points and six rebounds for the Bulldogs, who outrebounded the Mustangs 33-15. Joe Marshall and Taj Cole each scored 12 points, and Nigal Plunkett added 10 points for Centennial.
Zach Ducksworth and David Everage each scored 12 points for Shadow Ridge, and Nick Flowers added 11 points.
Cheyenne 54, Faith Lutheran 48 — At Faith Lutheran, Khalid Banks tallied 18 points, and the Desert Shields rallied from a 29-21 halftime deficit to edge the Crusaders.
James Hammer led Faith Lutheran with 15 points.
Arbor View 66, Legacy 57 — At Arbor View, Zach Hammond had 13 points, five rebounds and three assists, and the Aggies used a 16-6 third-quarter burst to down the Longhorns.
Blake Claxton had 10 points, and Chase Ealy added nine points and eight rebounds for Arbor View.
Zach Lane scored 31 points for Legacy.
Cimarron-Memorial 66, Palo Verde 48 — At Palo Verde, Christian Brown scored seven of his team-high 19 points during a 19-7 third-quarter run that put the Spartans ahead for good.
Erik Brewer added 15 points for the Spartans, who trailed 32-31 at the half. Cimarron also got 11 points from Rico Garrett and 10 points from Marques Barnes.
Jordyn Martin had 13 points, and Bronston Abad scored 10 for Palo Verde.
Bonanza 71, Boulder City 63 — At Bonanza, Teyshawn Campbell scored 23 points, and Matt Figgins added 21 points to help the Bengals beat the Eagles.
Nate Hafen led Boulder City with 33 points.
Virgin Valley 52, Sunrise Mountain 50 — At Sunrise Mountain, Cameron Jensen had 23 points as the Bulldogs edged the Miners.
Humberto Urias added 11 points for Virgin Valley.
Ariel Baggett led Sunrise Mountain with 15 points, but saw his potential game-tying layup in the closing seconds spin off the rim after he drove through three defenders.
Shmarlio Tolliver added 10 points for the Miners.
Moapa Valley 67, Rancho 61 — At Moapa Valley, Hayden Cooper scored 27 points to help lead the Pirates past the Rams.
Josh Thompson had 16 points for Moapa Valley, which used a 25-12 fourth quarter to pull away.
Chris Hall led Moapa Valley with 19 points, Ciaran Subira added 16 points, and Chris Beverly contributed 11 points for the Rams.
Mountain View 58, Lake Mead 48 — At Lake Mead, Justyn Anderson scored 13 of his 31 points in the first quarter to help the Saints to an early 15-7 lead and a win over the Eagles.
Alex Capozzoli added 12 points for Mountain View.
L.J. Yamzon led Lake Mead with 18 points.
Agassi Prep 55, Laughlin 49 — At Laughlin, Quincy Brown scored 18 points to lead the Stars past the Cougars.
Anson Williams added 12 points, and Kailinn Jackson and Curtis Watson scored 10 apiece for Agassi Prep, which used a 15-7 edge in the third quarter to pull away.
Kris Suhr led Laughlin with 15 points and 11 rebounds, and teammate Marcus Johnson scored 11 points.
Spring Mountain 60, Sandy Valley 46 — At Sandy Valley, Devante Rash scored 19 points, and the Eagles used a 17-9 third-quarter run to pull away from the Sidewinders.
Maurice Williams added 16 points for Spring Mountain.
Daniel Soto scored 16 points, and Nathan Plaza added 12 points for Sandy Valley.
Adelson School 47, Indian Springs 45 — At Indian Springs, Robert Blackwell drained a 3-pointer with thirty seconds left in the fourth quarter to lift the Lions past the Thunderbirds.
Jackson Wessells scored 18 points, and Gabi Bornstein added 16 points for Adelson.
Chasen Malden put up 21 points to lead Indian Springs, and Dominic Morgando contributed 14 points.
