Bishop Gorman football team ranked No. 1 in USA Today Super 25
Bishop Gorman’s football team is No. 1 in the nation in the preseason USA Today Super 25 rankings, which were released Tuesday.
The Gaels, who have won five consecutive state championships, finished 13-2 last season and were ranked No. 30 in the final USA Today rankings.
The losses were to Booker T. Washington (Fla.), which finished No. 1 in the final rankings, and to No. 6 Mountain Pointe (Ariz.).
Gorman has three games scheduled against teams in the USA Today Super 25, including a home matchup with No. 2 St. John Bosco (Calif.) on Sept. 26. The Gaels play at No. 19 Servite (Calif.) on Aug. 29, and host No. 23 Bingham (Utah) on Sept. 5.
