Chamere Thomas dominates as Palo Verde rolls
Palo Verde senior running back Chamere Thomas scored four touchdowns on Friday as the Panthers dominated visiting Del Sol 47-12 on Thursday.
Thomas rushed for 159 yards on eight carries with scoring runs of 21, 31, and 58 yards, and caught a 29-yard TD pass.
Quarterback Nick Zuppas tossed two TDs, and teammate Isaiah Scott supplied 111 yards on eight carries for Palo Verde (2-3), which held Del Sol to 94 yards of offense.
Ryan McCormick added a 2-yard TD plunge for the Panthers, who got a 30-yard TD reception from Daniel Bellinger.
Taariq Flowers provided Del Sol (2-3) a 72-yard TD scamper, and teammate Victor Cano returned a fumble 45 yards for a score.
