Gators rally to top Chaparral
Green Valley (2-1) overcame an early 14-0 deficit to defeat visiting Chaparral (0-3) 45-20 on Thursday.
Aaron Love rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown on nine carries to lead the Green Valley offense. Quarterback Paul McKay completed 7 of 8 passes for 89 yards and a touchdown and also had a 6-yard TD run for the Gators.
Bre onta Griffin led Chaparral with 78 rushing yards, including a 15-yard TD run to open the scoring. His 34-yard TD pass to Malcolm McMurray gave the Cowboys the 14-0 at the end of the first quarter.
