Jaguars score early, often to rout Western

Desert Pines’ Andrew Amado scored in the opening minute on a 6-yard fumble return, helping the Jaguars (2-1) pile up 43 points in the first half to beat host Western (1-1).

Desert Pines quarterback Dalton Leilua passed for 183 yards, including touchdowns of 40 and 37 yards to Eric Tuiloma. Backup Trey Robello threw a 6-yard TD to Paul Bennett.

Chancellor Davis rushed for 87 yards, including three first-quarter touchdowns, for Desert Pines.

Western was held to 56 yards, including Dante Warren’s 25-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Buckley in the final minute. Brian Mikol also scored on a 90-yard punt return.
