Vega rushes, passes Wolves to win
Basic quarterback Eddie Vega rushed for a 15-yard touchdown and passed for two scores as the Wolves (4-3) defeated host Boulder City (2-5) 20-7 in the Jug Game on Friday.
Vega passed for 128 yards, including TDs of 24 yards to Darien Spencer and 8 to Devonte Boyd. Christopher Bibbs rushed for 53 yards on four carries for the Wolves.
Basic scored the first 20 points, holding Boulder City scoreless until Joe Miller’s 9-yard pass to Thomas Shelley in the fourth quarter.
Xavier Steel rushed for 62 yards to lead the Eagles, who had 204 rushing yards.
