GIRLS SOCCER: Coronado routs Pahrump Valley to win Spring Creek Classic

Evie DiFiore and Jensen Boman both had two goals as Coronado beat Pahrump Valley 9-0 to win the Spring Creek Cup in Elko on Saturday.

Lelei Rosenberg, Kylie Westbrook, Maggie Devlin, Angelica Morris and Caitlin Shannon each had goals for the Cougars.

DiFiore and Olivia Meza had two assists apiece, and Westbrook, Rachel Morris, Emily Wickens and Cassie Jimenez picked up one each.

Rachel Morris and Taylor Book split time in goal, with Morris making one save in the combined shutout.

Coronado 4, Spring Creek 1 — At Elko, the Cougars had four different goal scorers in their 4-1 win at the Spring Creek Cup.

Olivia Meza, Leili Rosenberg, Evie DiFiore and Jensen Bowman all had goals for Coronado, with DiFiore and Cassidy Bibbings picking up assists.

Pahrump Valley 1, Elko 0 — At Elko, Pahrump Valley keeper Noemi Valle-Diaz had seven saves to preserve the shutout in a 1-0 win in the Spring Creek Cup.

Kaitlyn Carrington had Pahrump’s goal, assisted by Kathy Niles.
