Outlook: The Aggies have won at least eight games for five straight seasons, and Barnson expects his squad to be in a similar position again this year.

The defending Northwest League champs have plenty of holes to fill after being hit hard by graduation. Gone is all-state running back Gray, who rushed for 1,739 yards in earning the Northwest’s Offensive MVP award. Second-leading rusher Charles Louch (704 yards) also is gone, but the Aggies generally have little problem replacing backs in their double-wing offense.

A bigger problem may come on the offensive line, where the team lost four starters, including all-state first teamer Noshi. The other three also garnered all-league honors.

But the 6-foot-5-inch, 305-pound King is a tremendous building block up front. He holds scholarship offers from several schools, including UNLV and Arizona State.

There is more experience back on the defensive side, where Noce was a second-team all-state selection after recording 60 tackles and five interceptions. Two-year starter Motl (43 tackles) adds experience.

“We will be strong and physical,” Barnson said.
