Outlook: The Cowboys struggled last season, scoring just 12 goals, but have reason for optimism with seven starters returning.

“With nine returning varsity letter winners, including seven returning starters, the experience level of the individual players, as well as their experience playing together as a team, is a definite reason to expect an improved Chaparral team this upcoming season,” Yacubovich said.

“These ladies, led by seniors Stephanie Torres and Deisy Beas, and junior Leticia Ibarra, have worked tirelessly in the offseason and throughout the summer to grow as a team in efforts to achieve their goals of improving their win record and making the Cowboy Nation proud.”
