Mojave named Week 6 Nevada Preps football Team of the Week
Mojave’s football team bent on Friday, but it didn’t break.
The Rattlers were up 22-0 early in the second half of their Sunset League opener against Sunrise Mountain, but a furious second-half rally by the Miners managed to tie the game at 28-28. The two teams went into overtime, where Mojave was able to get a stop on defense and score a touchdown on offense to get the win.
The victory continued a huge turnaround for the Rattlers, who are now 4-1 after finishing last season 1-8. Mojave will try to continue that turnaround when it travels to Desert Pines on Friday.
