ROUNDUP: Santos’ game-winning double helps Legacy edge Clark

Legacy’s Alysia Santos doubled home Sierra Pico for the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh inning as the Longhorns survived for a 7-6 road victory over Clark on Monday.

Pico went 3-for-3 with a double and earned the win in the circle. Santos and Alexis Fuller each had two hits for Legacy.

Clark’s Jasmine Fukuda went 3-for-4, and Shannon Chapman and Lauren Kuenzi added two hits apiece for the Chargers.

Palo Verde 4, Foothill 2 — At Palo Verde, Melissa McCormick fired a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk and also scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning to lift the Panthers past the Falcons.

McCormick led off the sixth with a double, then scored on a throwing error to give Palo Verde a 3-2 lead.

Valley 6, Cheyenne 5 — At Cheyenne, Mickayla Romero was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Autumn Williams hit 2-for-3 with two RBIs as the Vikings capitalized on Cheyenne errors to score two runs in the top of the seventh for the win.

Melissa Medina also went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Vikings, who only committed one error to Cheyenne’s five.

Rachel Holly had a double and a home run for the Desert Shields.

Tech 9, Canyon Springs 3 — At Canyon Springs, Kimmie Rodriguez had two singles and a triple to help the Roadrunners cruise past the Pioneers.

Rodriguez scored three runs and added two RBIs.

Amanda Roark tossed a two-hitter with nine strikeouts to earn the win.

Faith Lutheran 8, Calvary Chapel 3 — At Faith Lutheran, Hayley Thomas threw a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts as the Crusaders beat the Lions.

Rachel Jones went 2-for-3, and Rachel Kerr had a double, two runs runs scored and two RBIs for Faith Lutheran.
