BOYS TENNIS: Doubles team leads Foothill over Silverado
Andrew Hauck and Ben Gonzalez went 3-0 in doubles to lead Foothill’s boys tennis team to an 11-7 road win over Silverado on Monday.
Jacob Woodworth was 2-1 in singles for the Falcons.
Silverado’s Constandinos Pappas was 3-0 in singles, and teammates Seth Forstner and Jakob Winders each went 2-1 in singles.
Bishop Gorman 11, Spring Valley 7 — At Spring Valley, Chris Zimmerman and Vengeli Zimmerman each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Gaels over the Grizzlies.
Arbor View 13, Cimarron-Memorial 5 — At Arbor View, the doubles team of Brenden Wagner and Treven Clizbe went 3-0 for the Aggies in their victory over the Spartans.
Arbor View’s John David and Nicholas Dahl each went 2-0 in singles.
Mark Adriatico and Eric Forbush went 2-0 in doubles for Cimarron.
Clark 12, Desert Oasis 6 — At Clark, Michael Pasimio went 3-0 in singles play to lead the Chargers past the Diamondbacks.
The doubles team of Dustin Mader and Aria Khiabani went 2-0 for Clark.
The doubles team of Ben Gajardo and Eliseo Wao-Udin went 3-0 to lead Desert Oasis.
Green Valley 12, Liberty 6 — At Liberty, Robert Sarosi went 3-0 in singles to lead the Gators past the Patriots.
The doubles team of Kevin Blomquist and Thomas Blomquist was 3-0 for Liberty.
Sierra Vista 12, Bonanza 6 — At Sierra Vista, Ryan McCoy and Rahul Gupta each went 3-0 in singles to carry the Mountain Lions over the Bengals.
Palo Verde 16, Centennial 2 — At Centennial, Jack Kostrinsky, Axel Botticelli and Jaden Atkin each went 2-0 in singles as the Panthers rolled to the win over the Bulldogs.
Brandon Sulzberg and Denim Richardson teamed to go 2-0 in doubles for Palo Verde.
Coronado 16, Basic 2 — At Coronado, Martin Rizov and Kaloyan Momchilov each went 2-0 in singles play as the Cougars routed the Wolves.
The doubles team of Ethan Quandt and Jonah Blake also went 2-0 for Coronado.
Faith Lutheran 16, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Darling Tennis Center, Kyle Avery was 2-0 in singles as the Crusaders defeated the Mustangs.
Spencer Scarcelli an Charlie Magruder teamed to go 2-0 in doubles for Faith Lutheran.
Mojave 12, Western 0 — At Mojave, the Rattlers won by forfeit.
Desert Pines 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, the Jaguars won by forfeit.
