Top athletes: LIB Alyssa Ybarra (Sr.), MB Kinsey Smith (Sr.), OH Lauren Pocius (Sr.), OH Jaden Wood (Jr.)

Outlook: Ybarra had 438 digs, and Smyth had 49 blocks last season. They’re expected to be among the leaders on defense, and hitters Wood (150 kills) and Pocius (93 kills, 40 blocks) should be valuable weapons on offense for the Eagles, who advanced to the Division I-A state semifinals last year.

“We have some strong senior leadership, but young talent as well to balance out the team,” Hinman said. “Everyone will have to share the wealth this season.

“Our goal is to bring home our sixth conference title and qualify for the state tournament.”
