Coronado volleyball finishes second in Redondo Power Classic
Coronado’s girls volleyball team finished second Saturday in the Redondo Power Classic in Redondo Beach, Calif.
The Cougars won three matches Saturday before falling to host Redondo Union (Calif.), 25-21, 24-26, 15-12 in the title match.
Earlier in the day, the Cougars downed Valencia (Calif.), 25-20, 25-23 before beating Marymount (Calif.), 25-17, 25-18 in a quarterfinal.
Coronado was a 25-22, 25-23 winner over Notre Dame (Calif.) in the semifinals.
Coronado’s Cali Thompson and Carolyn Andrulis were named to the all-tournament team.
