Disabled voter bill unanimously approved by Nevada Senate

CARSON CITY — Election officials will have to provide separate lines for disabled voters or allow them to go to the front of the line under a bill unanimously approved Tuesday by the Nevada Senate.

Senate Bill 117 sponsored by Sen. James Settelmeyer, R-Minden, now goes to the Assembly.

It is intended to make it easier for handicapped people or those who have trouble walking or standing to cast a ballot.
