At approximately 7:15 p.m., Washington state patrol contacted Nevada Highway Patrol to request an AMBER Alert activation for the State of Nevada for two young boys believed to have been taken by their mother. The boys were taken from a residence in Kittitas, Wash., sometime early Tuesday morning and might be headed to Las Vegas, authorities said.
Parker Norris, 2, and his brother, Preston Norris, 3, were taken by their mother, Nicole Butcher who left a note threatening suicide, police said.
Police believe she is headed to either Winnemucca or Las Vegas. She is believed to be driving a 1994 white Ford Explorer with Washington license plates, 255UBD. The boy’s father found the note Tuesday morning and contacted police who activated an AMBER Alert for Washington.
Kittitas is approximately 11 hours from Reno.
