Carmen Electra magically gone

Moving quickly to bring stability after Carmen Electra‘s meltdown, producers will introduce a “world-famous new guest star” as Hans Klok‘s assistant in “The Beauty of Magic,” which opens next month at Planet Hollywood Resort.

The new addition, who will be introduced at a news conference today, has agreed to a multimillion-dollar contract. The development comes five days after Electra’s unhappiness with the show was first reported here.

The show was to go into previews last week but was postponed after Electra struggled with her role. The opening was delayed a week, from May 12 to May 19, but that could change, depending on the new star’s ability to learn her role.

It would be the second time Electra, a former “Baywatch” star, failed to get to opening night with a show at the property.

She was to join Klok in “Lumiere” at the Aladdin in late 2001. She had appeared at a news conference and posed for publicity photos. But the show never got off the ground when the Aladdin went into bankruptcy.

A source tells me cast and crew members were forced to sign confidentiality agreements after the story broke Friday, on Electra’s 35th birthday.

JACOBS IN REALITY SHOW

Former Miss Nevada USA Alicia Jacobs is joining the reality show world.

Jacobs, entertainment reporter at KVBC-TV, Channel 3, will be in a beauty pageant reality show on the CW network.

The series will be titled “Crown: The Mother of All Pageants.” Jacobs will serve as a judge as mother-daughter teams compete for the $100,000 first prize.

Jacobs said she will remain with KVBC, and that “is my first priority. I assured management of that, and they’ve been very supportive.”

Filming will begin next month.
