CSN professor to run for governor

College of Southern Nevada professor Frederick Conquest will run as a candidate for Nevada governor for the second time in 2014.

Conquest, an anthropology professor, plans to run as a nonpartisan, independent candidate.

Conquest in 2010 sought to be the Democratic candidate for governor, but lost to Rory Reid in the primary election.

Conquest plans to make his candidacy official in March when the filing period begins.
