Dodgers win NL West; Tigers, Twins tied atop AL Central

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Dodgers won the NL West by beating the Colorado Rockies 5-0 tonight. … Meanwhile, the AL Central has come down to the final day. The Detroit Tigers dropped into a first-place tie with Minnesota in a 5-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox. If the Tigers and Twins are still tied at the end of Sunday, there will be a one-game playoff Tuesday at the Metrodome.
