Gibbons names Clark County official to monitor stimulus money

Gov. Jim Gibbons has named Charles Harvey, assistant Clark County recorder, to a new position in charge of monitoring as much as $2.2 billion in federal stimulus money coming to Nevada.

The job is the subject of a dispute between Gibbons and members of the Legislature who have said they want to control the creation of the job.
