FATAL CRASH
LV woman dies near state border in crash
A 19-year-old Las Vegas woman died Saturday night after she lost control of her vehicle and rolled it on Interstate 15 in California, about 10 miles from the Nevada border, the California Highway Patrol said.
The woman, who wasn’t identified, was traveling northbound on I-15, just north of Bailey Road near Mountain Pass, when the accident occurred at 6:15 p.m. Authorities said she veered into the steel-and-wood guardrail on the shoulder and rolled her car several times.
The woman, who was the only person in the vehicle, wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car, police said.

Man slain after rift with woman at park
A man visiting a Las Vegas park with his children was shot to death Saturday night, Las Vegas police said.
The man, who wasn’t identified, was at Martin Luther King Park, on the 5300 block of Carey near Nellis Boulevard, at 9:45 p.m. when he got into an argument with a woman, police said.
The woman left the park and returned with several men. One of the men pulled out a gun and shot the victim to death, police said.
The suspects fled after the shooting. The victim was found lying in the park’s playground with multiple gunshot wounds.

Three men shot at Reno Halloween party
Three men were fatally shot after an argument erupted at a Halloween party being held at a Reno home early Sunday. Two men were arrested.
Police Lt. Robert McDonald said an investigation determined the gunshots were fired after a shoving match over people bumping into one another on the dance floor.
Derek Jensen of Reno, 23, and Nathan Viljoen of Fallon, 23, were among the victims. The name of the third victim was withheld.
Two 19-year-old Reno men, Samisone Taukitoku and Saili Manu, were arrested on suspicion of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and brandishing a firearm.
Their bail was set at $500,000 each.
