Interstate 15 near California state line subject to periodic closures this week
Interstate 15 will be having periodic closures near the California state line starting this morning while crews install transmission lines along the highway.
From 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Thursday, I-15 will begin to see full closures in both directions roughly one-half mile south of the California state line.
California Highway Patrol will be initiating the stops to allow crews to install the wires. According to the Nevada Department of Transportation, the stops should not last more than 15 minutes.
While the work is expected to be completed on Thursday, it could be extended if the work is delayed in any way the Transportation Department said.
