Nevada Social Security offices changing hours of operation
Social Security offices in Nevada are changing their hours, beginning Nov. 19.
Office hours will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Starting Jan. 2, the offices will close at noon every Wednesday.
The shortened hours are expected to help cut overtime costs, which is necessary because of reduced federal funding. On Nov. 23, all field offices will be closed to the public.
