Capt. Scott Straily, a Clark County firefighter, observes to ensure students are performing an earthquake safety drill correctly at Beatty Elementary School in Las Vegas on Tuesday. It was the first day that firefighters implemented the drills, and they plan to hold them throughout April, covering every school in the county, according to a county spokesman.
