Record rainfall pushes Las Vegas past yearly average

Rainfall Wednesday night and today pushed the valley’s official rain total over 4.5 inches for the year so far. In an average year, Las Vegas receives 4.19 inches of rain. The first storm of the fall season in Las Vegas also set a daily record.
