Reids go shopping at Whole Foods

Sometimes honey-dos take priority over a tough political campaign.
U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was spotted shopping for peaches with his wife, Landra, at the Whole Foods in Green Valley on Saturday, while two Secret Service agents tailed them and two black Suburbans with dark-tinted windows waited outside the entrance.
According to Eye Spy Laura Little, Landra appeared to be completely recovered from a car accident in March that left her with a broken back, neck and nose.
"It was just the most surreal experience to be standing there picking out produce with one of the most powerful men in the country," Little said.
Reid spokesman Jon Summers confirmed her quick recovery and said the Reids are "incredibly thankful for the support they have gotten from the people in Nevada and across the country."
HAIL TO THE …
It was hail to the bride and groom at Caesars Palace on Saturday.
Caesars Palace President Gary Selesner hosted a gala party to celebrate the recent marriage of his daughter, international model and TV personality Lisa S., to Hong Kong actor Daniel Wu.
Caesars headliner Matt Goss performed at the private celebration, which included family members, friends and international guests.
STEALING THE SPOTLIGHT
Elvis impersonator Mark Anthony of Australia won the inaugural Elvis Rocks Mesquite competition at the CasaBlanca on Saturday and took home the $2,000 top prize.
Travis Allen of Las Vegas was runner up.
Finishing ninth but stealing the spotlight was Mesquite’s Claude Nielson, a 75-year-old retired chiropractor. Halfway through his performance, he stopped singing and told the crowd his fellow contestants had urged him to let the audience in on a secret. He pulled a wig off his bald head and told the crowd, "This is what Elvis would have looked like today." He got a standing ovation.
