Roof work touches off fire at Clark High

A small fire on the roof of Clark High School on Saturday afternoon left minimal damage to the school, according to the Las Vegas Fire Department.

Construction crews were working on top of the building at 4291 Pennwood Ave. when roofing adhesive caught fire shortly before 2 p.m.

Las Vegas and Clark County firefighters extinguished the blaze before any damage reached the school’s interior.

No one was injured by the fire. Construction workers have returned to the work site to repair the damage.
