Sandoval appoints three to state jobs
Gov.-elect Brian Sandoval on Thursday announced three more appointments and reappointments to state jobs in business development, personnel and taxation.
Sandoval named Terry Johnson to become director of the Nevada Department of Business and Industry.
He reappointed Teresa Thienhaus as director of the Personnel Department and Dino DiCianno as executive director for the Nevada Department of Taxation.
Johnson’s previous jobs include director of administration in the Clark County district attorney’s office, director of the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation, and assistant business advocate in the office of business finance and planning.
Johnson replaces Dianne Cornwall, who was previously notified by Sandoval that she would not be reappointed.
Thienhaus is a former senior deputy attorney general for the state.
DiCianno is a former deputy director of the Taxation Department with 10 years of experience in the Division of Assessment Standards .
