Slaying victim ID’d as 62-year-old valley man
The man beaten to death during a possible financial dispute with a neighbor on Sunday has been identified as 62-year-old Morteza Mostafavi of Las Vegas.
Mostafavi was found severely beaten on the 4700 block of Boston Avenue, near Sahara Avenue and Lamb Boulevard, about 4:20 p.m. He died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
Las Vegas police arrested 35-year-old Jonathon Vanhook on a murder charge.
