Suncoast offers reward in 2005 shooting death
The Suncoast Hotel & Casino has offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in a 2005 robbery and shooting death in its parking lot, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police announced Friday.
Julie Miller and her husband, Ronald, of Henderson were attacked as they parked their vehicle in the northern end of the casino’s parking lot on the afternoon of Aug. 23, 2005. The attacker brandished a gun and demanded money. Ronald Miller was shot through the shoulder as he struggled with the man. The bullet continued on, striking and killing Julie Miller, 68.
Miller described the attacker as a black man about 30 years old, 6-feet tall with a thin to medium build. He was wearing a khaki shirt, dark pants and a baseball cap and might have left the scene with two other people in a silver Dodge Magnum.
