UNLV QB Clayton out for Saturday’s game

UNLV sophomore quarterback Omar Clayton appears out for Saturday’s home game against New Mexico. He has at least a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee.

Clayton was scheduled to undergo an MRI this afternoon to determine whether the knee is injured further, but the results will not be known until Tuesday.

If Clayton has a torn anterior cruciate ligament, he’s probably done for the season, though Rocky Hinds played on that injury two years ago.
