White Sox edge Cubs again before sellout crowd at Cashman Field
The White Sox scored two runs in the fourth and two in the ninth to take a 4-0 lead, then held off the Cubs, who scored their three runs in the bottom of the ninth on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Theriot and a two-run pinch single by Las Vegas resident Reed Johnson.
The White Sox also clipped the Cubs 7-6 on Wednesday night at Cashman Field in front of a sellout crowd of 11,459. Paul Konerko, Wilson Betemit and Michael Restovich homered, and Ben Broussard drove in the winning run with an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth.
