Michael Ramirez’s Feb. 2 cartoon hit the nail on the head. The system definitely failed when it allowed Gary Dean Robinson to continue to drive after being cited numerous times for speeding — the latest time being Dec. 9. Why did he even still have a license? His senseless act has now left at least four families to try to pick up the pieces.

The system needs to wake up before more lives are lost.
