Basic overcomes five-run deficit to edge Silverado

Mike Feher’s game-winning single in the eighth inning gave Basic’s baseball team an 8-7 victory over visiting Silverado on Wednesday.

Brandon Blake singled to start the eighth and went to third on Mike Schulte’s single, setting up Feher’s game winner.

The Wolves rallied for five runs in the seventh, highlighted by Marcus Romero’s three-run homer, to force the extra inning.

Coronado 13, Liberty 5 — At Coronado, Justin Souza-Grenier had two triples and drove in five runs to help the Cougars down the Patriots.

Coronado’s Ty Wagonseller was 3-for-4 with a double and three runs, and Andrew Gans had a homer and three RBIs.

Green Valley 11, Foothill 1 — At Foothill, Joe Robinson tossed a four-hitter, striking out seven, and got plenty of offensive support as the Gators beat the Falcons.

Dominic McGovern each went 2-for-2 with a double, and Kevin Stethem doubled twice as six of Green Valley’s 11 hits went for extra bases.

Del Sol 10, Tech 0 — At Del Sol, Brad Madrid went 3-for-3 with a home run, two doubles and four RBIs as the Dragons defeated the Roadrunners.

Matt Burge tossed a three-hit shutout, striking out seven. Burge was 3-for-3 with an RBI and three runs.

Arbor View 22, Mojave 0 — At Arbor View, Sean Reilly was 4-for-5 with a double and five RBIs as the Aggies rolled past the Rattlers.

Derek Fuss was 3-for-3 with two doubles, four RBIs and four runs, and Josh Arnold went 2-for-2 with a triple, five RBIs and four runs.

Centennial 11, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Nate Rink tossed a three-hitter and struck out six to lead the Bulldogs past the Desert Shields.

Anthony Consiglio was 4-for-4 with a double and four RBIs for the Bulldogs.

Cimarron-Memorial 11, Palo Verde 7 — At Cimarron, Pat Thomas and Nate Hale each hit a home run in the Spartans’ win over the Panthers.

Palo Verde’s Brandon Laubhen hit a three-run homer.

Shadow Ridge 13, Legacy 3 — At Legacy, Colton Simons went 3-for-4 with a home run, triple, double and three runs to lead the Mustangs over the Longhorns.

Joey Lauria had two hits and drove in all three runs for Legacy.

Spring Valley 14, North Eugene (Ore.) 1 — At Spring Valley, Cody Collins went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs to lead the Grizzlies.

Perry Martin was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and German Barajas tossed a three-hitter and struck out five.

Bishop Gorman 21, Fairview (Colo.) 4 — At Hadland Park, winning pitcher Joey Rickard went 2-for-2 with a grand slam and a double to lead the Gaels to a rout in the Bishop Gorman Easter Classic.

Boulder City 8, Needles (Calif.) 3 — At Boulder City, Jordan Vivone went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI as the Eagles beat the Mustangs.
