5 Abets Abet – Beaten favorite was in this condition last time at Los Alamitos; started her career here at Santa Anita.

Long Shot – 3 Awe Gee

Race 2 – 6 furlongs, Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $20,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

3 Jimmy Bouncer – Gutsy MSW win in career debut at Del Mar; skipped the Los Alamitos meet for first condition race in Arcadia.

7 Saticoy – Huge debut MSW win, albeit 2 years ago; ran miserably as a 3/5 chalk in last, maybe he is tighter tonight.

Long Shot – 6 Justification

Race 3 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 3-year-olds and up

8 Pioneer Charlie – Overcame a physical start to rally into a game second finish; will be double tough if improves just one step.

3 Awesome Time – Taking a huge class drop to face the bottom of the barrel; Jeff Mullins takes the blinkers off tonight.

Long Shot – 12 Tasha’s Courage

Race 4 – 6 1/2 furlongs, $100,000 L.A. Woman, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

1 Top Kisser – No shame running a distant second to Reneesgotzip; saves all the ground inside and completes the job.

4 Stopshoppingdebbie – A 9-for-9 career resume, is the queen of Emerald Downs; could be the Northwest Peppers Pride, if stayed home.

Long Shot – 5 Tribal Gal

Race 5 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 8 feet), Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 2-year-olds

7 Sweeter Thancandy – She stumbled badly in her career debut; did not turn in a bad effort considering, now switches to the grass.

4 C’Mon Sister – Was a maiden facing stakes horses last time out; gets class relief and likely will get way overbet.

Long Shot – 2 Bennett Jean

Race 6 – 1 mile, Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds

1 One Lucky Dane – Moves from outside to inside today while switching to the main dirt track; clearly is bred to handle the stuff.

7 Secreto Primero – Really improved second time out when sent around 2-turns; makes his first start over real dirt.

Long Shot – 2 Bollywood

Race 7 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 8 feet), $75,000 Swingtime, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

7 Kathleen Rose – Spit the bit late last time in a rare loss at a mile and at Santa Anita; chance for redemption in an easier spot.

2 Heat Du Jour – Gets class relief from the grade 2 Yellow Ribbon for this; gets a big rider switch too to Elvis Trujillo.

Long Shot – 8 Theatre Star

Race 8 – 6 furlongs, $300,000 Santa Anita Spring Championship, 3-year-olds and up

3 Goldencents – Doug O’Neill can’t enter him in the Breeders’ Cup due to suspension; suspect Leandro Mora, or another, will be the trainer.

1 Secret Circle – Final prep for the defending Breeders’ Cup Sprint champion; appears still as quick, fast as ever.

Long Shot – 6 Ankenny Hill

Race 9 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 8 feet), $200,000 City of Hope Mile, 3-year-olds and up

8 Grand Tito – Florida invader must be the goods, trainer got Rafael Bejarano to ride; offers decent value at 5/1 price.

2 Mr. Commons – Despite a nice looking resume, he has really underachieved in his career; this is his right level now.

Long Shot – 12 Rock Me Baby

Race 10 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $16,000, Claiming $12,500, 3-year-olds and up

1 Pressure Time – Claimed two races in a row, must be something to see; with Kent Desormeaux out, Bob Hess uses Rafael Bejarano.

5 Clubhouse Rock – Last race was a disaster, his first try on synthetics; back on dirt, forgiving horseplayers will like the spot.
