CSN softball opens region tourney with rout of Western Nevada
The College of Southern Nevada softball team won its 10th straight game, opening the NJCAA Region XVIII Tournament with a 7-1 victory over Western Nevada College on Wednesday in Twin Falls, Idaho. Mikela Manewa was 2-for-4 with three RBIs for the Coyotes (34-25).
Earlier in the day, Coyotes first baseman Rhiana Balaun was named the NJCAA national player of the week after going 9-for-13 with nine RBIs in a four-game sweep over Western Nevada last week.
