CSN sweeps baseball doubleheader, claims regular-season conference title
Egan Smith and Brenton Van contributed to back-to-back shutouts as the 19th-ranked College of Southern Nevada baseball team completed a four-game sweep of the College of Southern Idaho with wins of 7-0 and 6-0 Saturday in Twin Falls, Idaho.
The Coyotes (41-14, 30-10 Scenic West Athletic Conference) clinched the regular-season conference title and have won 15 straight games.
CSN will host the Region 18 Tournament, which starts Wednesday at Morse Stadium.

In the second game, Van threw four innings, allowing five hits and no walks, and Drew Leary pitched three perfect innings for the save.
Cody Fierro hit a two-run homer in the second inning, and Brandon Trodick hit a three-run double in the fifth.

After scoring once in the second inning to tie the score, UNLV (25-35-1, 5-11 MWC) scored four runs in the third, keyed by a Rosa Ordaz three-run homer. But the Rebels scored just once the rest of the way, on an Ashli Holland RBI single in the sixth.
