English bowler Barrett paces qualifying in Scorpion Championship at World Series of Bowling
England’s Dom Barrett led qualifying in the Scorpion Championship on Tuesday, the fourth event in the PBA World Series of Bowling at South Point Bowling Center. Barrett had a pinfall of 1,944 for eight games to pace a field of 238, with the top 16 advancing to the six-game semifinal round late Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Australian Jason Belmonte led the semifinal round in the Chameleon Championship late Monday night, posting a 14-game total of 3,462 to reach Sunday’s stepladder finals. Belmonte was joined by Walter Ray Wiliams Jr., Scott Norton and Fawaz Abdulla.
