Former UNLV player stars in new Geico commercial
Former UNLV and NFL player Ickey Woods is doing his famous shuffle celebration again — this time it’s in Geico’s newest commercial.
The commercial is set in a dentist office with the dentist saying, “Huh, 15 minutes could save you 15-percent or more on car insurance,” as he see’s the Geico ad on the TV. And as usual, the response is, “Everybody knows that.”
The dentist then says, “Well, did you know that former pro football player Ickey Woods will celebrate almost anything?”
Woods is then seen celebrating inside a grocery store — doing the famous Ickey Shuffle — when his number is called in the deli.
Woods made the Ickey Shuffle famous in the 80s when he performed the shuffle in the end zone after he scored a touchdown.
